(Brassavola nodosa × Cattleya Batalinii)

Star-shaped bronze petals and a deep pink lip. Flowers open with brassy yellow petals that darken as the bloom ages. The plant’s new growths—distinguished by the glossy red pigment at the base of the leaf—likewise change color, becoming increasingly green as they mature.

Bc. Star Ruby blooms easily and early—plants reach blooming size in 2” pots. New growths typically produce a pair of flowers.

Plants may be grown potted or mounted, though mounting is recommended when plants outgrow their 4” pots.

Orchid Care: Grow in bright, indirect light with strong air circulation and high humidity. Water generously in spring and summer when plants are actively putting out new growth and new roots. But ensure the potting media and root system dry out between waterings. Reduce water somewhat with cooler temperatures. Fertilize weakly, weekly.
