Thank you for your interest in ordering through our online store! Below, you will find answers to some commonly-asked questions related to the shipping process.

Do you have _______ plant?

If you would like to request a plant that is not listed on our online store, please fill out a custom order form. Please note that there is a $100 minimum on all custom orders.


Do you have any [insert genus] plants that are [insert flower color] and/or [insert flower size] and/or [insert flower fragrance]?

We would truly love to be able to provide this level of customer service via the web, but Orchidaceae is a very large plant family. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to compile lists of available plants that satisfy broad criteria. 

We ask that you please limit custom order plant requests to specific species and/or hybrids. 

Alternatively, you’re always welcome to come visit us in-person; we’d be happy to walk you around and show you your options!


Do you have any more of _______ plant, which is currently out of stock on your site?

When a plant is out of stock on our online store, customers have the option of adding their email address to the “waitlist” of that plant from its product listing page. 

Customers on the waitlist for a given plant will receive an automated email notification when that plant is available for purchase again.


Will my plant look like the pictures on the site?

Each plant listing on our site provides a description of what is available. The plant you receive will conform to the description provided in the listing. 

When possible, we also provide a representative picture of the plants offered in a given listing. However, many of our plants have been grown from seed -- which means slight variations in flower size and color can be expected. Additionally, our plants are grown in an open-air greenhouse, which can result in slight imperfections to foliage.


Do you ship to my state?

We do not ship to California, Arizona, or Hawaii -- but we do ship to all other U.S. states.


Do you ship outside the U.S.?

We do not ship outside of the United States.


What shipping carriers do you use?

We currently ship via UPS. 

  
Can I order online and pick the plants up at your nursery?

Yes, you can! When you complete the checkout process, you will have the option to select ‘nursery pickup.’ 

I just placed an order for nursery pickup. What now?

We appreciate your business! We will send you an email when your plants have been set aside and are ready for that pickup. We do not currently offer same-day pickups.


I’ve just placed an order on the site, but I’d like to add more plants to it. What should I do?

If you’d like to add plants to an existing order, you can email info@palmerorchids.com with your order number and the plants you’d like to add. We will do our best to get the plants added prior to shipment, but please note that our team is very small. As a result, we are not always able to respond to emails immediately.

I have placed multiple orders on the site. Can you ship the orders together and refund me shipping charges?

We will do our best to work with you in these circumstances, but please note that when you elect to make a purchase from our online store, you are agreeing to the charges listed.

Depending on the timing of your orders, we may not be able to combine them. Additionally, there may not be a shipping and handling overage once the plants have been combined (as shipping charges are calculated by box size and weight). 

However, where shipping overages do exist, a credit may be applied to your next purchase from our online store. 


How long will it take for my order to ship?

We ship all out-of-state orders on Tuesdays and all in-state orders on Wednesdays. Some in-state orders may ship on Tuesdays, as the Tuesday shipping schedule permits.

The transit time of your shipment will vary based on the carrier you select at checkout, but you can expect to receive your plants by the Saturday following your ship date. You will receive an email notification with tracking information when your order leaves our nursery.

Please note: We are currently experiencing a high volume of online business. If we receive your order on a Sunday or Monday, your order may not ship until the following Tuesday, depending on the number orders ahead of you in our queue. 

We very much appreciate your patience as our staff do their very best to keep up with increased demand.


Do you sell wholesale?

Yes, we do. Wholesale pricing is only available when purchasing on-site at the nursery. There is currently a waiting list for prospective wholesale customers.

For information on buying wholesale, please send a current copy of your Resale Certificate for Sales Tax to info@palmerorchids.com, along with a description of your business and what you’re looking for. 


Do you ship with heat packs?

You can find heat packs for sale on this page. If you purchase a heat pack (or heat packs) they will be added to your shipment. Please note that we do not check temperatures in your area and we do not hold shipments.


What is your return policy?

All sales made through our online store are final. If you receive the plant you requested safely, we do not accept requests for exchanges or returns. 


Our guarantee: We guarantee healthy, living plants. 

However, we cannot guarantee buds or flowers. Plants described as being in sheath, spike, bud, or bloom are in such stages when shipped from our nursery.  While we pack all plants with extreme care, the shipping process may affect these stages.
